What I Got Out Of The HubSpot SEO II Certification Course

HubSpot’s SEO II course dives deeper into advanced SEO and technical SEO, giving you the tools to optimise your game. I found it a great refresher as there are some aspects you use a lot, and some others less doing project work. I would say it is aimed at Specialist to Manager level giving you a better understanding what is needed. The reporting and value section I believe most will find the most stimulating and informative. The real material is found in the resources which I recommend you look at as the video content, albeit very well produced is still quite ‘basic’.

Here are the various sections you will touch on during the course.

Master Google Page Experience:

      • Brush up on Google Page Experience, Core Web Vitals (load speed, responsiveness, stability), and how to optimise them to rank higher.

      • Audits and exercises help you assess your own website’s Page Experience and Core Web Vitals.

      • Some interesting quizzes and differentiating Page Experience and Core Web Vitals.

    Technical SEO Audit:

        • Learn to conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits to identify and fix website issues that throttle your search ranking.

        • Understanding more about robots.txt and sitemaps.

        • Master techniques to shrink page size, boost load speed, and manage HTTP requests and page caching effectively.

        • Excellent accompanying downloads and resources for conducting your own basic level technical SEO audits.

      Website Migrations:

          • Grasp website migrations and plan, execute them smoothly while minimising SEO fallout.

          • An optional case study and an exercise help you craft a solid SEO-focused website migration plan.

          • Great advice how to approach and plan web migrations, but it is quite basic. I did not see about planning and mapping all assets (your javascripts and CSS).

Communicate SEO Value and Track Performance:

            • Great resources mentioned in staying ahead of the curve with the latest SEO trends.

            • Build impactful SEO reports that showcase the value you deliver SEO to business goals.

            • Learn how to perform competitive SEO analysis to understand your rivals’ strategies.
